This interagency website is designed to provide a comprehensive source of information on mountain pine beetle in Montana. Our purpose is to provide a clearinghouse with the most accurate information available from a variety of sources. On this site, you'll find information on how to identify mountain pine beetles, beetle ecology, susceptible trees, diagnosing beetle infestatons, removal of dead trees, and bark beetle management options. Most importantly, all information on this site has been reviewed by a panel of experts representing participating agencies, so you can be confident that you are getting appropriate, accurate and timely information about all things related to the mountain pine beetle.
